Cradle of Western culture: Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain, the Arab countries, ...

So many old and new cultures all around the Mediterranean.

The best way to explore it is by sailboat, like in ancient times.

Come along and experience life on a sailboat: eating, sleeping, swimming, snorkeling in a small group, a vacation you will never forget.

Enjoy the sun, deep blue sea, clear water, countless islands, beautiful nature, Mediterranean villages and towns and local gastronomy ...

Route planning 2026:

In 2026 we will once again enjoy Greek hospitality, deep blue sea, clear water, countless islands, beautiful nature and mythical culture from ancient times, not to mention Greek gastronomy. :-)

This year we will sail to Thessaloniki, Chalkidiki, Saronic islands, northern Sporades  and around the Peloponnese to the Ionic islands. 

From May 1 until May 17: We take a few days to prepare the boat for sailing in the winter storage in Aegio. There we enter the water and sail through the Gulf of Corinth and the Corinth canal to Nea Epidauros (the sunken city). Possibly we make a stopover in magical Delphi. There are also many sights to visit from Corinth city: Ancient Corinth, Mycenae, theater of Epidauros and of course the famous Corinth Canal.

From May 17 until May 24: We sail in the Saronic gulf to Porto Rafti near the airport of Athens. Stopovers: Epidauros, the islands Agistry, Aigina, Moni (uninhabited island with peacocks and deer) and cap Sounion with the famous temple of Poseidon.

Disembarking:  Athens

From May 24: until June 1: From Porto Rafti, north along the island of Evia to Volos or Skiathos (Northern Sporades island).

    Evia is the second largest Greek island after Crete. It is mountainous and forested.

Disembarking:  Volos or Skiatos

From June 1 until June 8: Volos or Skiathos to Thessaloniki. From Thessaloniki, we can visit the Alexander the Great Museum and that of his father.

Disembarking:   Thessaloniki

From June 8 until June 22: Chalkidiki. Beautiful sandy beaches and crystal clear sea, From Thessaloniki to the island of Ammouliani and back.

From June 22 until June 29: Thessaloniki back to Skiatos.

Disembarking:    Skiatos

From June 29 until July 6: Northern Sporades.

Disembarking:   Volos or Skiatos

From July 6 until July 13: Skiathos or Volos to Porto Rafti (near Athens).

From July 20 until August 3: We sail with the meltemi wind from Aegina through the Saronic and Argolic Gulfs and around the Peloponnese to Kalamata.

From August 3 until August 10: From Kalamata on the Peloponnese to Zakynthos.

Disembarking:   Zakynthos (Zante) town

From August 10 until August 18: Ionic sea: Zakynthos, Kefalonia, Ithaka, Meganisi.

Disembarking:   Zakynthos (Zante) town

From August 18 until August 25: Ionic sea: Zakynthos to Corfu: Zakynthos, Kefalonia, Ithaka, Meganisi, Lefkada, Preveza, Corfu.

Disembarking:   Corfu

From August 25 until beginning of September: From Corfu to the winterstorage in Aegio(Gulf of Corinth).

Sailing along:

The boarding place is always near an airport (eg Corfu town). You can sail from 1 boarding point to another (for example, board in Corfu and get off in Zakynthos) or return to the same boarding point (for example, board in Zakynthos and get off again in Zakynthos). Whoever books first has all the choice.

Transport to the boarding point is on your own account.

For passengers there are 2 bedrooms with double bed and 1 bedroom with bunk beds available.

We sleep on the boat every night. Sometimes we are at anchor in a bay and we do a BBQ on board. Sometimes we stay in a marina and we dine in a local restaurant. There is an equipped kitchen on board for cooking together.

The route is determined in consultation with the crew, taking into account the weather forecast.

In bad weather conditions there will be no sailing. Safety first! But this is rare in summer.

Sailing experience is not required. If you wish, a sailing initiation can be given.
